Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

This policy explains the current data practices of Website Health Checker, operated by DesignsCtrl. It covers this standalone checker; other linked websites and services have their own policies.

Privacy PolicyTerms & ConditionsImportant Information

01Information used for a scan

We process the public webpage URL you submit, optional staging domain and image-size threshold. Scans retrieve public page content, metadata, links and bounded resources so the checker can produce findings. Do not submit passwords, private links, access tokens, confidential query parameters or information you are not permitted to share.

The checker does not submit website forms or audit their fields, labels, validation or submission endpoints. No account, payment or email gate is added by this application. The hosting platform may require sign-in when access to this Site is private.

02Reports, temporary processing and downloads

Submitted URLs and reports are not deliberately saved in an application database or report history. The active report is held in your browser’s memory and processed temporarily by the scanner. Refreshing or closing the page may remove it. Downloaded HTML/PDF reports are files on your device; you control their retention and sharing.

Reports can include website URLs, source snippets, public content and image thumbnails. Treat exports as potentially sensitive, and remove confidential details before sharing. Image previews are requested through a bounded server proxy; their image URLs can appear in the provider’s request logs.

03Service providers and external requests

The scanner makes HTTP requests to the target website and limited resource destinations. Those sites may see the scanner’s IP address, user agent and requested URLs. DNS-over-HTTPS requests disclose destination hostnames to Cloudflare’s DNS service.

Hosting and delivery are provided through ChatGPT Sites and its infrastructure. Google PageSpeed Insights receives the submitted page URL when a performance check is attempted. Available Lighthouse measurements are included in the report. These providers can process data under their own terms, locations, retention policies and security controls.

OpenAI/GPT services assisted development of this tool. The current scanner does not send your report to an OpenAI model for live analysis. If you separately share a report with ChatGPT or another AI tool, that service’s data practices apply.

04Technical records and retention

The app uses short-lived, in-memory IP-based counters for scan and image-preview limits. Those counters expire after about a minute and do not contain submitted URLs or reports. Application code does not deliberately log report content.

The hosting provider and third-party services may maintain operational, security, access or error logs. We do not set or promise their exact retention periods. The absence of application report storage does not mean no provider records exist. Contact us about privacy requests or operational concerns.

05Optional analytics and local storage

Google Tag Manager uses DesignsCtrl’s container GTM-54QSP6RB. The container is not loaded by this app until you allow optional analytics. You may decline and still use the checker. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so it can be remembered. Change it using Analytics settings in the footer; declining after previously allowing reloads the page to stop loading the container.

Configured tags may collect page visits, device/browser information, interaction events, identifiers and analytics cookies, depending on their configuration. The app does not deliberately push scanned URLs or findings into the analytics data layer. We do not claim that all third-party tag behavior is anonymized or that a consent choice deletes information already collected. Advertising consent signals are denied by this application.

06Contact links and enquiries

DesignsCtrl help links contain campaign attribution parameters. They do not contain the complete report or the scanned page’s query parameters. If you choose to contact DesignsCtrl or paste an issue summary into an enquiry, its separate website/contact practices apply. No report is automatically submitted as a sales lead.

07Your choices, requests and policy changes

You can avoid sensitive URLs, decline analytics, clear browser storage, delete downloaded reports and choose whether to share an enquiry. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@designsctrl.net or use the DesignsCtrl contact page. Include only the details needed to understand your request.

Any rights available to you depend on applicable law and the data involved. We will assess requests according to those requirements. This policy may change as features or providers change; the updated date will be shown here. We do not knowingly design this tool to collect personal information from children.
